Our Mission

The Medical Aid Committee (MAC) is a non-profit humanitarian organization which supports the provision of health care to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters and epidemics.

All of our supported programs are developed in partnership with local communities and prioritize the strengthening of local health capacities and resources. We provide grants for primary health care services of fixed and mobile health clinics, ensuring access to safe, clean water, leading preventative health education activities and supporting traumatized individuals and communities. In this way, we strive to improve the health and well being of our communities emerging from crises.

All of the programs we support focus on two essential principals:

Filling The Post-Crisis Gap: Supporting communities transitioning out of a crisis by providing integrated health care in the absence of emergency NGOs and local capabilities.
Local Partnerships: Working in partnership with local communities and authorities to build local capacities through effective and sustainable health training and support programs.
